Here’s some news for Aussie businesses—Google has just rolled out an update to Google Business Profiles (GBP). You can now add WhatsApp and text messaging options directly to your profile, making it very easy for customers to get in touch.
According to Google’s support page, businesses with a claimed and verified profile can add a WhatsApp or text messaging option. To set it up, head to your Business Profile, click ‘Edit profile’, then ‘Business information’, and finally ‘Contact’. Under ‘Chat’, select either ‘Text message’ or ‘WhatsApp’, enter the relevant details, and save.
